OBESITY COVID in collaboration with Novo Nordisk
This study aims to investigate the prevalence of obesity and obesity-associated comorbidities; diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension (HT) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in positive COVID-19 patients hospitalized at the Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid (HCSC) (Spain) from March 1 to June 30, 2020. The Secondary objectives are defined as follows:
• Describe the prevalence of obesity and comorbidities associated with obesity; DM, HT and CVD in positive COVID-19 patients according to their hospital stay: emergency room visit (EM), usual hospitalization or intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization
• Evaluate the economic impact of obesity and associated comorbidities in the treatment, procedures and hospital stay of positive COVID-19 patients.
